What you can do

[NOTE: The following was written before the NPUC Executive Committee made its decision to step back and respect the work presently undertaken by the world church by the Theology of Ordination Study Committee, and to consider no further action until after the 2015 General Conference session—a position that has become clearer through comments by the editor at GleanerOnline.org. We have left this section here for now, however. Who knows? It could be useful again at a future time. –Ed, 2013-03-24.]
If with us you hold the conviction that the North Pacific Union should wait for the General Conference to complete its study of the women’s ordination question before taking any local action, here’s what you can do.
If you are a currently credentialed Seventh-day Adventist minister living within the territory of the North Pacific Union, and you would like to add your name to the NPUC Supporting Pastors list, please contact us. We would like to hear from you.
If you are not a pastor, but you still want to express your support for the General Conference process, here are some suggestions:
1. Earnestly pray daily for the unity of God’s remnant church in these increasingly difficult times.
2. Spread the news about OrdinationTruth.com via email, Facebook, Twitter, blogs, church bulletins, etc.
3. Contact us through this website and let us know that you support the unity of the world church on the question of women’s ordination. Hearing from you encourages us and helps give direction as we proceed.
4. Invite all the NPUC pastors you know to add their names to our list of Supporting Pastors.
5. Write a brief, polite, letter to the NPUC Executive Committee, respectfully asking them to rescind their decision to call a special constituency session. Send your letter to the North Pacific Union Conference Executive Committee, You may also send a copy of your letter to your local conference office.
Here are the physical mailing addresses you would use. (Regular mail is much more highly regarded than e-mail in a communication like this.)
