After wearying decades and three General Conference Session decisions not to ordain women to the gospel ministry, on November 5, NAD president Dan Jackson launched into a diatribe in the closing minutes of Monday’s 2018 North American Division year-end Meeting, insisting “We will not pull back… we will not stop. Furthermore, we will continue to agitate for the ordination of women to the gospel ministry!”

The president vocalized his anger toward other divisions, insisted that the NAD is not a rebel Division, and then made light of the more than 50 unbiblical ordinations that have been conducted in North America. He then threatened that “There had better be a spirit of reconciliation on the part of all…,” went on to call NAD the “breadbasket” of the church, and warned that “I am making this statement so that you all know, and so our world leaders know, and my good brothers, my fellow Division presidents, be a little careful.”
Jackson stated “I will never agree to that document” [referring to the policy voted October 14, 2018 General Conference Executive Committee], and asked that it be sent to the paper-shredders. He stated his belief that in the future this church would “stand up and apologize for the absolute abuse of women.” Jackson then proceeded into a lengthy tear against General Conference Working Policy. Finally, he attacked “male-headship theology”
as being unadventist. He interlaced his monologue with placeholder swear-words we shall not repeat.
The NAD president made clear his determination to launch the world church into a renewed, all-over-again battle over women’s ordination. When will the nightmare end?

Oh my “GOD” I want to say; tell me, this is not true!
However, this is what you call a pretentious Spirit, coupled with a deliberate intention to bring about Dis-Unity Confusion, and non Compliance, with the General,Conference. This is wickeness, and is the Spirit of Satan!
You know folks; I’ve got a lot say! But I’m going to withhold a long commentary, and just get to the bottom line and to the point!
if the General Conference don’t handle this out of control North American Division President Daniel Jackson, then you’re going to,get “Exactly” What You Deserve! ….and make no mistake about it! You’re going to have to answer to “GOD”.
Now Deal With That! …and in the meantime, I’m not backing down! I stand with the “Mission” given, and the Roles That “GOD” Created the Male and Female that HE created them in to serve! Adam! Adam! Where Art Thou?
Never in my 51 years in God’s Remnant Church have I seen a more disrespectful attitude. No one regardless of who they are and what position they hold, should ever claim to be called to the ministry and and display such an unchristian attitude. Has Elder Jackson forgotten that it is from the local church from which comes the money? Dan Jackson should resign immediately. He has disgraced his office, his calling and his God! Beware Brother Jackson! When the shaking comes, you may fall out quickly!
God have mercy on us all!
Elder Jim Cox, Ret.
You are so true Elder Cox. Nothing to add.
True Pastor
Why should the president sound threatening to the fellow Division Presidents? He is crying for freedom at the same time withholding the same from his colleagues.

Very sorry to see/hear DJ’s words and the following NAD proclamation doubling down on their error. I am not sure I can continue to return tithe through any part of the NAD currently. I live in the United States and am a member of an SDA church under the NAD territory. How can I return my tithe either directly to the GC (as has been repeatedly done by large donors) or through another division with better leadership? This is a serious question…thanks
This is probably the time when the church in session decides between (1) the church can have women Pastor and ordained to the ministry and (2) all people are equal before God but only qualified men are called and ordained to be Pastors. The statement will be clearly made in the statement of belief on the church (Ecclesiology). We may need to learn from the Southern Baptist Convention and will be able to resolve this issue once for all.
I am not even going to discuss the issue, but the way this man talks, Is very ungodly, Buzz off, really? isn’t there a more polite and Godly way to present your position?
I was shocked
correction–“the document” was voted October 14-Sunday-(not the 24th) at GC Annual Council in Battle Creek, MI.
Korah, Datham and Abiram became insolent and rose up against Moses with 250 well-known leaders. They came as a group to oppose. They said you have gone too far. Everydody is holy and the Lord is with them. You know what happen. I fear for those who oppose. THE LORD WILL SHOW WHO BELONGS TO HIM AND WHO IS HOLY. Numbers 16:1-7 Brother Dan Jackson change your mind before it is to late and all those who support him.
DJ claims that ‘women pastors’ have been in the Working Policy of the GC for decades, and that there were a lot of women pastors even in Ellen White’s day. Is he correct, and if so, when was this action taken? It is truly time to ‘weep between the porch and the altar’ to spare Thy people O Lord.
